My Philosophy
Weight Inclusive Care
I believe all bodies across the size spectrum deserve kind, caring and effective support. Our interventions will focus on fostering a positive connection to food and a more kind relationship to your body and the natural outcome of that work is the healthiest weight for your mind, body and soul.
Intuitive Eating
You have internal knowledge about what and how to eat and my job is to help you reconnect with that wisdom by uncovering unhelpful beliefs, providing you with research-based nutrition guidance, supporting you with flexible eating structure, and sharing guided exercises and activities.
Healing Isn’t Linear
The process of recovery, growth or overcoming challenges is not straightforward. Healing entails ups and downs, setbacks, and non-linear progress. With that being said, some examples of milestones might look like:
Eating consistently throughout the day, not skipping meals, and experiencing less hangry moments!
Making peace with food and rebuilding trust around once forbidden foods
Able to enjoy eating all kinds food without guilt or shame
Practicing more self-compassion, being more kind, forgiving & less critical
Recognizing physical and emotional needs and meeting them in a timely manner such as recognizing hunger and eating, or recognizing emotions (boredom, stress, sadness, etc.) and responding consciously with or without food
Learning how to better cope with negative body image days
No longer oscillating between restriction & f*** it eating
Eating confidently
